122-year-old woman in Ho Chi Minh City recognized as the world's oldest person

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tru is 122 years old this year, currently residing in Da Phuoc commune, Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh city, and is in good health.

According to the nomination of the Vietnam Record Organization since June 2014, the World Record Association has just officially established a record: Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tru, the oldest woman in Vietnam, is the "Oldest woman in the world".

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tru was born on May 4, 1893 in Ho Chi Minh City, is 122 years old this year, currently residing in Da Phuoc commune, Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City, and is in good health.

She had 11 children (3 boys, 8 girls) but now only 2 are still alive and both are over 80 years old. Before the World Record Association announced the record, in August 2014, Nguyen Thi Tru was recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization and the Asia Record Organization as the "Oldest woman in Vietnam and Asia".

It is expected that in June 2015, a representative of the World Record Association will come to Vietnam to directly present the world record certificate to Ms. Nguyen Thi Tru./.
