A 122-year-old woman in Ho Chi Minh City has been recognized as the world's oldest person on the list.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tru, 122 years old, currently resides in Da Phuoc commune, Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City, and is in good health.

Following a nomination by the Vietnam Record Organization in June 2014, the World Record Association has officially recognized Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tru, the oldest woman in Vietnam, as the "Oldest Woman in the World".

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tru was born on May 4, 1893, in Ho Chi Minh City. She is 122 years old this year and currently resides in Da Phuoc commune, Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City. She is in good health.

She had 11 children (3 sons and 8 daughters), but only 2 are still alive, both over 80 years old. Before the World Records Association officially announced the record in August 2014, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tru had already been recognized by the Vietnam Records Organization and the Asia Records Organization as the "Oldest Woman in Vietnam and Asia".

It is expected that in June 2015, representatives of the World Records Association will come to Vietnam to personally present the world record certificate to Ms. Nguyen Thi Tru.
