An elderly woman narrowly escaped death in a fire that destroyed her three-room wooden house.

At approximately 6:30 PM on February 5th, a fire broke out at the house of Mr. Lo Thanh Soong in Cau 8 hamlet, Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district. The fire completely destroyed the house, causing great panic among the residents living in the surrounding area.

At the time of the fire, only an elderly woman, nearly 80 years old, was inside the house, cooking. Hearing the smell of burning and seeing flames rising from the corrugated iron roof covered with foam insulation, the old woman panicked and ran outside, shouting for help from neighbors to put out the fire.

Upon receiving reports from residents, local authorities, the district police force, the district military command, and local people quickly arrived at the scene.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, the house contained many flammable items, causing the fire to spread rapidly and threatening to engulf the neighboring house.

Firefighting teams were quickly deployed, while firefighters, in collaboration with residents, moved property out of the building and prevented the fire from spreading. After 40 minutes, the fire was extinguished, but the house was completely destroyed. The initial cause was determined to be an electrical short circuit. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
