111 year old man still works out every day
Every day, Mr. Henry Tseng in the US cycles for 30 minutes at the gym, laughs a lot and throws all worries out of his mind.
Mr. Tseng was born in Japan and moved to the United States in 1975. He is now 111 years old, in good health and still mentally sharp. Mr. Tseng revealed that he does not focus on studying books about the secrets to longevity. His simple method is to exercise regularly every day and live positively.
At 80, Mr. Tseng still practiced yoga regularly at 6:30 every day. He could even perform a banana tree pose. At 90, he learned to dance aerobics. To this day, this retired businessman still rides a bike at the gym every day with great enthusiasm. "The older we get, the more we need to exercise," Mr. Tseng toldLatimes.
Mr. Tseng said he doesn't feel old and doesn't count or calculate his age. Trainer Michelle Dodson said she teaches an adult fitness class three times a week at 6:30 a.m., which Mr. Tseng never misses even after turning 100. "He's an inspiration to me and everyone in the class," Michelle said.

"Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper" is Mr. Tseng's philosophy for longevity. For breakfast, he usually eats two boiled eggs, half a grapefruit, half a banana, bread with butter and jam, half a bowl of cereal or oatmeal and a glass of orange juice.
Carol Puial, who cooks and takes Mr. Tseng to his workouts every day, said she changes his lunches to make him eat better. His lunch menu includes Italian, Chinese or Mexican food. He likes spaghetti and burgers that Carol cooks. If they go out, McDonald's is Mr. Tseng's first choice. Then he rides a bike at the gym for 30 minutes every day. He also drinks green tea.
His dinner consists of soup, fried eggs, ground beef, roast pork or roast chicken. Mr. Tseng does not cut any foods from his diet. He limits his alcohol and tobacco consumption.
When the weather is nice, Tseng and his caregiver head to Holmby Park to enjoy the sunshine for an hour or two. “I enjoy the fresh air and the quiet moments,” Tseng said.
Tseng revealed that one of his secrets to longevity is to smile every day and never worry. "I have a lot of troubles like everyone else, but I would say 'forget it', think about tomorrow," Tseng said.
Mr. Tseng lives a very positive life, always helps people and regularly participates in charity programs.
Today, Mr. Tseng still lives happily every day regardless of his age. His wife also lived a very long life. She passed away at the age of 100 in 2013. Sometimes he goes to the park to relax and sunbathe. Park rangers, security guards, and tour guides recognize him. They even joke with tourists, "Look, the 111 guy."
