Old man returns 20 million and 1 gold bar he found to a girl from Nghe An

On the afternoon of February 20, Ms. Nguyen Thi Truc (31 years old, from Thanh Dong commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province, currently living in Di An town, Binh Duong) said that she had received a bag containing nearly 20 million VND, a gold bar, 2 ATM cards and an ID card left at the bus stop in front of the People's Committee of Huong Long commune (Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh).

Mr. Xuan Duc, Mr. Luyen's son, shared about finding someone who lost something on Facebook.

According to Ms. Truc, on the afternoon of February 19, she waited for the bus in front of the People's Committee of Huong Long Commune to go to Vinh Airport (Vinh City) to fly to Ho Chi Minh City because of urgent matters. While waiting for the bus, a taxi passed by, Ms. Truc hurriedly got into the taxi and forgot a bag containing money, gold and personal documents.

The person who found Ms. Truc's bag was Mr. Le Xuan Luyen (67 years old, resident of Hamlet 9, Huong Long Commune). At that time, he was playing volleyball when he found the bag containing nearly 20 million VND, 2 ATM cards and an ID card with the name Nguyen Thi Truc.

Mr. Luyen said: "I picked up the bag and saw that it had a lot of money in it, so I reported it to the village chief and the police. Then I asked my son Xuan Duc to take a picture of the bag and the ID card and post it on Facebook in the hope of finding the owner and returning it to them. After that, Ms. Truc contacted me and took a taxi to my house to ask for the bag back. Ms. Truc thanked me profusely, but because she was in a hurry to get to the airport to catch her flight, she didn't have much time to talk."

Ms. Truc added: "I thanked Mr. Luyen and gave him some money as a reward, but he did not take it."
