16kg turtle crawls into people's house again

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 7, Mr. Nguyen Van Dan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Thanh Thuy Commune (Thanh Chuong) confirmed that a local resident had just caught a turtle weighing 16kg.

The person who caught the "giant" turtle is Mr. Nguyen Duong Lieu, 52 years old, in Hamlet 1, Thanh Thuy Commune (Thanh Chuong). Mr. Lieu said: At about 5 pm yesterday (November 6), I went to pick water spinach in my pond and discovered a turtle weighing 16 kg.

The giant turtle weighs 16 kg.

Hearing that Mr. Lieu’s family had caught a “giant” turtle, villagers came to see it. The turtle was black, had a hard, thick shell, and had many yellow stripes on its back, while its belly was alternating between yellow and black.

Mr. Lieu did not know how to deal with the "giant" turtle.

Previously, on October 12, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung (30 years old), residing in Thanh Thuy Town, Thanh Thuy Commune (Thanh Chuong) also caught a turtle weighing 13.5 kg and released it to Dong Danh Dam near his house.

Mr. Lieu's family still doesn't know what to do with this "giant" turtle.
