"Old" turtle crawled into a house in Lien Thanh (Yen Thanh)

(Baonghean.vn) -At about 2 a.m. on September 24, Mr. Thai Van Dung in Hamlet 9 (Lien Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh) discovered a large turtle lying in front of his yard.

The black-brown turtle is about 70 cm long, 45 cm wide and weighs over 12 kg. Many curious people from all over came to see it and said they had never seen such a large freshwater turtle. It is known that people in Ha Tinh and Dien Chau offered to buy the turtle for 60-70 million VND but Mr. Dung did not sell.

The turtle crawled into Mr. Dung's house.

Mr. Dung added: At night, he forgot to close the gate, heard the dog barking and ran out to see the turtle lying in front of the yard. Mr. Dung and many other people suspected that due to the heavy rain and flooding, the turtle may have drifted from the Vu Giang River, about 500 meters from the commune, or drifted from the Lam River.
