Specifically, the standards for public housing for central and local agencies
Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh has just signed Decision No. 3/2022/QD-TTg dated February 18, 2022 on standards and norms for public housing.

The above Decision stipulates specific standards for public housing for central agencies, public housing standards for localities, public housing standards for the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, etc.
According to the Decision, Politburo member and Party Central Committee Secretary are arranged to rent official villas with land area from 450 m2up to 500 m2. The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vice President, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, the Deputy Prime Minister and equivalent or higher levels are arranged to rent official villas with a land area of 350 m2 or more.2up to 400 m2.
Members of the Party Central Committee, Heads of Party Committees at the Central level, Chairmen of National Assembly Committees, Ministers, Heads of Central Organizations, Heads of agencies under the Government and equivalent level or higher are arranged to rent one of two types of official housing: 1- Townhouses with land area from 200 m2up to 250 m2; 2- Apartment with usable area from 145 m2up to 160 m2.
Deputy Head of the Central Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly Committees, Deputy Ministers, scientists assigned to preside over especially important national science and technology tasks according to the provisions of the Law on Science and Technology and equivalent level or higher are arranged to rent apartments with a usable area of 100 m2 or more.2up to 145 m2.
At the local level, Provincial Party Secretaries and equivalent levels are arranged to rent one of two types of official housing: 1- Townhouses with land area from 200 m2up to 250 m2; 2- Apartment with usable area from 145 m2up to 160 m2.
Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the province, centrally-run city and equivalent level or higher are arranged to rent one of the following two types of official housing: 1- Townhouse with land area from 120 m2up to 150 m2; apartment with usable area from 100 m2up to 145 m2.
Chairmen of the People's Committees at the district level, Directors of Departments and equivalent levels or higher, senior experts, scientists assigned to preside over especially important national science and technology tasks according to the provisions of the Law on Science and Technology or civil servants (teachers, doctors and medical staff) of public service units with leadership and management positions equivalent to Department Directors or higher are arranged to rent apartments with a usable area of 80 m2 or more.2up to 100 m2.
Cadres, civil servants, and public employees (teachers, doctors, and medical staff) with leadership and management positions who are mobilized and rotated to work in remote communes, areas with especially difficult socio-economic conditions, border areas, and islands are arranged to rent a house with a usable area of 36 m2 or more.2/house up to 48 m2/house (not including ancillary building area).
Officials, civil servants, and public employees (teachers, doctors, and medical staff) with suitable professional positions working in remote communes, areas with especially difficult socio-economic conditions, border areas, and islands are arranged to rent collective housing with a usable area of 24 m2 or more.2/house up to 36 m2/house (excluding ancillary construction area); minimum average area 12 m2/People.
