Voters in the Northwest cluster: Need to pay attention to building infrastructure in mountainous areas
(Baonghean.vn) - On May 14, 2016, at the People's Committee of Dong Van commune, Que Phong district, candidates for National Assembly deputies and candidates for Provincial People's Council deputies had a meeting with voters of Hanh Dich, Tien Phong, Thong Thu and Dong Van communes, to campaign according to the law.
Candidates for National Assembly deputies include: Mr. Phan Dinh Trac, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee; Mr. Phan Van Quy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pacific Group; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, Preventive Medicine Center of Tan Ky district; Doctor Nguyen Thi Thao, General Hospital of Northwest Nghe An region and Mr. Mong Van Tinh, official of Que Phong district Youth Union.
With the delegates of the Provincial People's Council for the 2016-2021 term including Mr. Sam Van Duyet, Chief of the District Party Committee Office, Ms. Luong Thi Dao, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hanh Dich Commune. Representing the candidates, Mr. Phan Dinh Trac answered the questions and recommendations of voters. Regarding resettlement issues, the Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee requested Hua Na Hydropower Company to immediately resolve the post-resettlement backlog; requested the arrangement of civil servants and improvement of the quality of the commune people's council.
He also requested that relevant agencies and levels coordinate to provide vocational training for farmers and make full use of policies to support loans for the poor. He also hoped that voters would make wise choices to elect worthy candidates for the next term.
Afternoon of May 14,Candidates for the 14th National Assembly and Provincial People's Council, term 2016-2021, met with voters in the central area of Que Phong district.
At the meeting, voters were briefed on the candidates' biographies, work history and action plans. Voters proposed a number of issues related to life, regimes and policies such as: increasing allowances for non-professional deputy officials of communes and towns, paying social insurance and other benefits; adjusting some land areas for industrial crops and raw material crops that have been granted to Thanh Thanh Dat Company and Rubber Company; reviewing the construction of additional hydropower projects in Que Phong, causing a shortage of water for production and daily life; having policies to attract and create jobs for ethnic minority children in the district; providing funds for full-time officials of special associations.
On behalf of the candidates, Mr. Phan Dinh Trac - Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption answered questions and received proposals and recommendations sent to the candidates by Que Phong district voters.
Regarding the construction of hydropower plants causing water shortages, the Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee promised to submit to the Provincial People's Council the consideration of construction of projects under 10MB, to avoid affecting people's lives. Regarding the issue of job creation for children of ethnic minorities, he asked the district to review job positions and consider recruiting qualified students.
He also hopes that voters in constituency number 2 will be wise in choosing people with both virtue and talent who can promote the voice of voters in the 14th National Assembly.
