Synchronously implement market development solutions
Mr. Nguyen Van Linh - Vice Chairman of People's Committee of Cua Ward South, Vinh City
The report and the question and answer session of comrade Pham Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade have outlined the current situation and reality of market development, especially issues related to traditional markets that voters are concerned about such as market planning, fire prevention and fighting at markets, control of goods at markets, the situation of spontaneous markets, encroachment on roads and sidewalks, traditional markets losing their appeal, etc.
I see that the leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade have answered in detail, specifically and frankly, right to the point, the key points of the questions raised by the delegates. In reality, the management and development of traditional markets are facing many difficulties. Many markets have been built for many years, degraded, affecting fire safety.
On the contrary, there are newly built, spacious markets, but a part of the people do not go to the market to do business but trade spontaneously on the street, affecting traffic safety and urban beauty.
In Cua Nam ward, people mainly go to Vinh market, wholesale market, and Duoc market to buy daily food. The problem of encroachment on traffic corridors still occurs mainly on Le Hong Son street in front of the wholesale market and some other places. The functional forces of Cua Nam ward and Hong Son ward have continuously mobilized, reminded, and handled many violating traders.

The questioning session was lively and frank.
Mr. Dam Cong Thang, Bong Khe commune, Con Cuong district
Through watching the live broadcast, I saw the lively and responsible atmosphere of the question and answer session. The Provincial People's Council delegates frankly pointed out the remaining problems in the fields of Industry and Trade such as market management, trade fraud, and online business.
Regarding online business, although this field is promoting our country's digital economy, in recent times, many worrying issues have emerged when subjects have continuously taken advantage of it to conduct business activities of counterfeit goods, banned goods, goods of unknown origin; even taking advantage of e-commerce to commit fraud and property appropriation. In particular, e-commerce activities on social networks are very complicated.

Increasing competitiveness for traditional markets
Mrs. Ngo Thi Phuong, Dien Nguyen commune, Dien district Chau
Through the question and answer session at the 21st Session of the 18th Nghe An Provincial People's Council, I saw that the issue of the current situation and development of traditional markets was discussed enthusiastically by the delegates. In fact, this is an issue that our people are very interested in, especially in rural areas where shopping at the market is still a daily habit.
However, nowadays, markets have gradually lost their appeal, especially in the era of digital technology 4.0. People use smartphones and order online. I hope that through this session, provincial leaders, agencies, departments and sectors will have solutions to develop traditional markets effectively and sustainably, especially in planning, renovating and upgrading markets so that markets are truly necessary destinations for people.
In addition, it is necessary to strengthen the inspection and control of goods at the market, ensuring the origin and quality. For small traders, it is necessary to equip themselves with civilized and polite sales skills and a friendly sales attitude.

Strictly check food hygiene and safety
Mrs. Bui Thi Thuyet, Thanh Yen commune, Thanh Hoa district Chapter
The content of the question about the state management of food safety and hygiene is very practical for people's lives today, because consumers are living with many goods and foods of unknown origin, and dirty food is rampant. The rate of digestive diseases, cancer, etc. due to the use of poor quality food is increasing, making people both afraid and angry.
Delegate Tran Thi Khanh Linh, Vinh City, questioned the reality of the situation where people and students can easily buy confectionery products of unknown origin, without packaging or labels, with lots of foreign words and no secondary labels. This is also one of the causes of food poisoning.

Faced with the fact that these products still appear widely on the market, I hope that departments, branches and units will have more drastic solutions and increase sanctions to ensure the health and rights of the people.

Strengthening propaganda on food safety
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tu, Truong Thi ward, Vinh city
The issue of food hygiene and safety is of great concern to the people because it directly affects human health and life. Among the solutions proposed by agencies, departments and branches at the question and answer session, I highly agree with the plan to strengthen propaganda and education on dirty food proposed by the Director of the Department of Industry and Trade.

In reality, patrolling and punishing the sale of food and goods of unknown origin, although carried out regularly and continuously, is very difficult to do thoroughly. Small traders have many sophisticated forms. Therefore, for students, teenagers, parents as well as schools must regularly teach and advise them to recognize and stay away from food of unknown origin sold in front of the school gate, and not arbitrarily give money to children because when there are no buyers, the sellers will automatically no longer import these items.
