Voters of Nghi Loc district reflect difficulties and problems after reclaiming agricultural land to implement projects.

On the afternoon of June 26, delegates of the 15th National Assembly and the 18th Provincial People's Council, including comrades Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Cong Van - Chairman of the Nghi Loc District Veterans Association, had a meeting with voters of Nghi Xa Commune, Nghi Loc District. Attending the meeting with voters were representatives of leaders of departments, branches and sectors at the provincial and Nghi Loc district levels.

At the conference, National Assembly and Provincial People's Council deputies informed voters about the results of the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly and some activities of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation at the session; expected program and content of the 14th Session of the 18th Provincial People's Council; socio-economic development in the first 6 months of the year, tasks for the last 6 months of 2023.

Voters expressed their joy at the achievements the country has maintained and achieved in the first half of 2023, highly appreciating the results of the session with appropriate decisions, comprehensively covering the contents of the draft Laws and Resolutions considered and approved, and the draft Laws given their first opinions were all carefully prepared, discussed specifically and clearly; the questioning and supervision work demonstrated the expectations, thoughts and aspirations of the people.

For the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province, the delegates have seriously exercised their rights and responsibilities as National Assembly deputies, fully participating in all meetings, contributing comprehensive and profound opinions, actively debating to the end of the issue; demonstrating the role of National Assembly deputies.

At the meeting, voters reflected to the Provincial National Assembly Delegation about the characteristics of Nghi Xa commune as a locality located in the Southeast Economic Zone and the Vinh city expansion plan, period 2020 - 2030, so it faces many difficulties in attracting investment and mobilizing investment resources for development, causing difficulties for the leadership and direction of the implementation of local political tasks.

Voter Nguyen Van Huong, Hamlet 11, Nghi Xa Commune, reported that Nghi Xa is a locality with agricultural land area recovered to serve the Southeast Economic Zone projects, with a large number of agricultural workers needing new jobs. Due to production habits and lack of vocational training, farmers face many difficulties in the process of job transition. Voters requested the State to pay attention to vocational training and job creation for local workers.

Voter Nguyen Van Dam reported the problem of many areas of land being reclaimed but there are no construction projects. Planning for traffic infrastructure but not implementing it causes waste of local land funds.

Sharing the same view, voter Vo Van Dinh - Secretary of Nghi Xa Commune Party Committee said: The investment attraction policy is not suitable. Currently, in the commune, there are some land areas that have been recovered by the State to grant to enterprises to implement projects, but for many years, enterprises have not reinvested while people do not have land for production, causing disputes, and the investment attraction policy is ineffective.

Meanwhile, voter Nguyen Van Cuong in Hamlet 11, Nghi Xa Commune reported the blockage of the drainage system of the factory in Zone C of Nam Cam Industrial Park, causing environmental pollution. Stone powder factories and pellet factories near residential areas emit a lot of smoke and dust, affecting the lives of the people.

Voters asked local authorities and the Southeast Economic Zone to work with factories to resolve and minimize environmental pollution, emissions, wastewater, noise, etc.

Voters also expressed their wish that the State pay attention to creating conditions for building infrastructure and electricity for communes whose land has been reclaimed to serve the development of industrial parks; reflect on the power outage situation affecting production and people's lives; and recommend paying attention to policies for people with revolutionary contributions.

In addition, many voters raised the issue of overlapping procedures for granting land use right certificates, and the need to implement the Land Law in accordance with reality. Some opinions suggested tightening the management of plant protection drugs; resolving the Agent Orange regime for the right beneficiaries; supporting hamlet-level cadres after the merger, supporting hamlets in building new rural areas, managing life insurance activities; supporting regimes for preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic, etc.

Representatives of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation received voters' opinions and recommendations and will synthesize them and submit them to competent authorities for consideration in the coming time.
