In recent years, many organizations and groups have come to us, the elderly, to send invitations to attend seminars and conferences, from which they sell poor quality, unknown origin products. Elderly people when retired often have free time and a monthly salary, so these people often target us.

Most recently, last October, a unit came to organize a workshop, calling on the elderly in the area to participate in selling yogurt that "cures all diseases" of old age. Many people were excited to go see and buy the goods, but when they got home, they realized that the goods were of poor quality. When they returned to find the place to return the goods, the unit had "disappeared". It is worth mentioning that we are city dwellers, exposed to a civilized, modern environment and have social knowledge, but we are still lured by subjects using sweet words. People in remote rural areas, with difficult economic conditions and limited knowledge, do not know how long they will be deceived.

Through following the 12th session of the Provincial People's Council, term 2016 - 2021, there were many heated debates on the issue of counterfeit, fake and poor quality goods, we were very excited because it proves that our consumer rights are being cared for. I hope that all levels and sectors will take more drastic actions to push back counterfeit and fake goods, especially during the upcoming Tet holiday.

Regarding this issue, voter Bui Duc Hai in village 4, Hoi Son commune, Anh Son district said that this is a very important content that is highly supported by the people, because currently the situation of fake, counterfeit, and poor quality goods is present everywhere, not only in the city but also in the countryside, directly affecting the health of consumers.

Voter Bui Duc Hai said that during peak times, especially during the Lunar New Year every year, Anh Son district has also established a team to inspect, detect, and handle many cases of production, trading, and transportation of counterfeit, fake, poor quality, and expired goods, but this situation has not shown any signs of decreasing and continues year after year.

Therefore, through this meeting and question-and-answer session, voter Bui Duc Hai requested the Provincial People's Council to intervene and provide solutions to all levels and sectors to strengthen measures to thoroughly handle this issue, contributing to protecting the health and interests of the people.

On the afternoon of December 11, watching the program answering questions about counterfeit and fake goods, I completely agree with the issues raised by the council. As for voters, we hope that the relevant agencies will be more proactive, especially in preparing for the Lunar New Year so that people can use the best products.

Currently, there are many types of goods floating around the market, typically counterfeit goods, fake goods, and poor quality goods that are rampant in society. This is a burning issue; how to control the source of goods to ensure consumer demand and food hygiene and safety for the people is the issue. With the responsibility as a voter, I would like to recommend that People's Councils at all levels and functional agencies pay attention to this, especially during this Tet holiday. It is necessary to check and filter carefully to avoid counterfeit and fake goods being sold to consumers.
