Thanh Chuong voters: School size is decreasing, teachers have no jobs

(Baonghean.vn) - Voters have reported that the reduction in school size is forcing some teachers who have been in the classroom for 6-7 years to become unemployed. The government needs to have specific policies to protect workers' rights.

On the morning of June 29, at Thanh Tien commune, National Assembly deputies: Tran Van Mao - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Dinh Thi Kieu Trinh - Specialist of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs had a meeting with voters of Thanh Tien, Thanh Lien, Thanh Linh, Thanh Hoa, Phong Thinh, Thanh Huong communes (Thanh Chuong district).

At the meeting with voters, National Assembly delegate Dinh Thi Kieu Trinh announced the results of the 3rd session of the 14th National Assembly. Next, voters frankly expressed their thoughts and aspirations.

Voter Nguyen Tien Cong, hamlet 10 (Thanh Tien commune) stated the current situation, young party members still have to focus on economic activities, so finding people to participate in activities in hamlets is very difficult.

One of the reasons is the policy for grassroots cadres. Therefore, this voter suggested that the Party and State study to have appropriate policies for grassroots cadres.

Voter Nguyen Thi Loc, hamlet 4 (Thanh Tien commune), said that to ensure the rights of insurance participants and meet the increasing demand for health care of the people, she suggested that the State should invest in qualified human resources and facilities and equipment for lower levels so that people can feel secure and not have to go to higher levels, which is difficult and costly.

Voter Loc also reflected that the reduction in school size is forcing some teachers with 6-7 years of teaching experience to become unemployed. The government needs to have specific policies to protect the rights of workers.

Voter Duong Thi Nhan, Hamlet 2 (Thanh Tien) stated that for a long time, food safety violations have been blamed on farmers, but in reality, state management agencies have not fulfilled their responsibilities.

Voter Nhan said that in reality, stamping quarantine on processed livestock and poultry is very easy; or sanctions to handle violations of food safety and hygiene are not strong enough to deter. He suggested that the National Assembly and the Government should have more effective measures in this matter.

Many issues related to the inadequacies of land policies according to Decree 64 of the Government, there are families with 4-5 members working in agriculture but have no land for production, there are families with 6-7 members who have left their homeland but have land; poor rural power grid infrastructure, affecting the quality of electricity, especially threatening the lives of people; environmental pollution from production facilities; policies for people with meritorious services..., were also mentioned by voters.

At the end of the meeting with voters, National Assembly delegate Tran Van Mao thanked the voters for their enthusiastic and responsible opinions; and at the same time, he specifically explained many issues that voters were concerned about. Regarding rural power grid infrastructure, delegate Tran Van Mao said that this is not an issue in Thanh Chuong district alone but in the whole province and the whole country.

Recently, through meetings with voters in localities, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation has compiled and sent them to Nghe An Electricity Company and the Ministry of Industry and Trade for research and resolution.

Regarding policies for grassroots cadres, delegate Tran Van Mao affirmed that all levels and sectors are aware of the difficulties of grassroots cadres. However, in the context of limited budget revenue, the province is also researching to gradually amend policies to be more suitable for grassroots cadres.

Explaining voters' opinions on food safety and hygiene, delegate Tran Van Mao affirmed that this is an issue of concern to the National Assembly. At the recent 4th session, the National Assembly issued 12 Resolutions, including the Resolution on ensuring food safety and hygiene from now until 2020, with 18 solutions proposed, including the responsibility of authorities at all levels and the sense of responsibility of each citizen and community to join in creating a change in this issue in the coming time...

Towards the War Invalids and Martyrs Day, on this occasion, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation presented gifts to 10 policy families with especially difficult circumstances in Thanh Tien commune.
