As reported, previously, people in Duc Thanh commune reported that Thuong Ha gas station in Sang market hamlet, Duc Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district suddenly hung a sign: "Tomorrow (March 30), Thuong Ha gas station will be temporarily closed due to Covid-19 epidemic".

In addition, people also said that although the Government announced a reduction in gasoline prices from 3:00 p.m. on March 29, by late that same day, this store still had not adjusted its selling prices.

The incident made many local people extremely upset.

The minutes of the meeting at 9:00 a.m. on March 30, 2020 between Market Management Team No. 1, under the Nghe An Market Management Department and the representative of Duc Thanh Commune People's Committee also showed that: At the time of inspection by Market Management Team No. 1 and Duc Thanh Commune Police, Thuong Ha gas station was closed and not open for sale. The representative of Duc Thanh Commune People's Committee contacted the business owner but could not be contacted.

Regarding this issue, Mr. Tran Toan - Captain of Market Management Team No. 1 affirmed: The closure of the gas station without selling is against the regulations. The closure was due to the Covid-19 epidemic but the State did not allow it because gas is an essential commodity. Immediately after that, we forced this store to reopen for sale on March 31.

Regarding the fact that the price was not reduced as prescribed from 3:00 p.m. on March 29, as announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, but no penalty was imposed, Mr. Tran Toan explained: "At the time of verification, there was no evidence because the store was already closed"!?.
