Cua Lo: Seafood prices increase slightly during the holiday

(Baonghean.vn) - During the April 30 holiday, the number of tourists visiting Cua Lo increased dramatically. However, this year, the prices of specialty products at the markets here only increased slightly compared to normal days.

Seafood products in Cua Lo only increased slightly.

Cua Lo seafood market on the morning of April 30th was bustling with people and goods. Traders here said that although it was a holiday, the input and output prices of seafood products compared to normal days only fluctuated slightly. For grade 1 crab, the price was from 550,000 - 600,000 VND/kg. Squid cost about 200,000 VND/kg and sticky rice squid cost 320,000 VND/kg.

Ms. Hoang Thi Ngan - Owner of Ngan Khanh seafood agency (Cua Lo town) said: "This year, the amount of stock is high, especially frozen shrimp and frozen squid. Only crab is not available so it is a bit expensive. During the holiday, shrimp and squid are 10,000 - 20,000 VND/kg more expensive than usual. As for crab, the difference is about 100,000 VND/kg."

While fresh seafood prices have increased slightly, dried seafood prices remain stable. According to tourists, the prices of seafood in Cua Lo are considered affordable.

Many tourists also share: during these days, they should go to agents and small traders specializing in seafood to get reasonable prices and guaranteed quality.
