Cua Lo hosted the traditional boat race in 2014.

(Baonghean.vn) - As part of the activities to celebrate the "Sunrise at Cua Lo" tourism year 2014 and to celebrate 20 years of Cua Lo town's construction and development (August 29, 1994 - August 29, 2014).

On the morning of May 2nd, at Binh Minh Square, the People's Committee of Cua Lo town organized the opening ceremony of the 2014 traditional boat racing competition. This year's competition features 8 teams and over 200 athletes from 7 wards of Cua Lo town and the team from Hung Loi commune, Hung Nguyen district.

With the encouragement of numerous local people and tourists from all over, after three exciting and captivating rounds of racing, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize of 5,000,000 VND to the Nghi Hoa ward team, the second prize of 4,000,000 VND to the Nghi Tan team, and the third prize of 3,000,000 VND to the Hung Loi commune team (Hung Nguyen).
