General Department II Political Department (Ministry of National Defense) presents '100 Dong House'

(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 69th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, on the morning of July 23, the Political Department of General Department II (Ministry of National Defense) held a ceremony to present the "100 Dong House" to Mrs. Bui Thi Huynh in Ban hamlet, Nghi Thiet commune, Nghi Loc district.

Attending the award ceremony were Major General Nguyen Quang Trung - Chief of Politics of General Department II, leaders of Nghi Loc District People's Committee.

Cutting the ribbon to inaugurate and hand over the "100 Dong House" to Mrs. Bui Thi Huynh.

Mrs. Bui Thi Huynh is the mother of Martyr Nguyen Van Niem, who died in 1978 at the Southwestern Front. Mrs. Huynh's husband has passed away. She used to work on shipbuilding for the Central Unification Committee, under General Department II. Mrs. Huynh is now old and in poor health, and depends on her grandson.

The "100 Dong House" given to Mr. Huynh has a total area of ​​over 100 square meters. Of the cost of building the house, 70 million Dong was supported by General Department II. This amount was taken from the savings practice of officers, employees, and soldiers of General Department II.

Along with presenting the "100 Dong House", General Department II also presented Mr. Huynh with a savings book of 3 million Dong; the Political, Youth and Women's Departments of General Department II presented many items for daily life.
