State Reserve Department of Nghe Tinh Region: Issued 13,200 tons of national reserve rice

(Baonghean.vn)- In 2015, the State Reserve Department of Nghe Tinh region imported 14,000 tons of rice through bidding and 9,500 tons of paddy purchased from people.

On the afternoon of December 28, the State Reserve Department of Nghe Tinh region held a meeting to summarize the work of 2015 and deploy tasks for 2016.

In 2015, the Nghe Tinh State Reserve Department imported additional national reserve resources, including 14,000 tons of rice through bidding and 9,500 tons of paddy purchased from the people, and also imported various rescue supplies and received over 2,400 tons of salt.

During the past year, through the method of widespread sale, the Department has exported over 10,000 tons of rice and exported 13,200 tons of national reserve rice to provide relief to people and support students, of which 7,635 tons were exported to Nghe An, the rest were exported to Ha Tinh, Ninh Binh, Ha Nam, Son La, and Dien Bien provinces.

To effectively manage the quality of national reserves, the Department has applied new technology to preserve 14,000 tons of rice in a sealed environment and 9,500 tons of paddy in an air-conditioned environment to prevent mold and mildew.

At the same time, he emphasized that in the coming time, the unit needs to further strengthen the work of accessing and using national reserve resources; effectively monitor national reserve resources when requested by the Ministry of Finance and the industry, especially promptly responding to the requirements of natural disaster prevention and control and timely support of food for people and students in Nghe Tinh.
