Logistics Department of Military Region 4 received the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 16, the Logistics Department of Military Region 4 held a ceremony to receive the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal and a meeting to celebrate the 55th anniversary of its founding (November 16, 1961 - November 16, 2016).
Attending the ceremony were Major General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of Military Region 4; Lieutenant General Vo Van Viet - Political Commissar of the Military Region; Major General Do Nang Tinh - Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics of the Vietnam People's Army.
During the two resistance wars against France and the US, especially during the resistance war against the US, the Logistics sector of Military Region 4 promoted the spirit of self-reliance, initiative and creativity to ensure service for the Military Region's armed forces in the resistance war against the US to save the country and successfully carry out the noble international mission in Laos.

Entering the new revolutionary stage, the Logistics sector of Military Region 4 has performed well its role and function as a staff agency, directing and ensuring logistics for the Military Region's armed forces in tasks, especially regular and unexpected tasks. Up to now, the entire Military Region has basically achieved the goal of eliminating seriously degraded level 4 houses in the planning; ensuring enough clean water for daily life and basically ensuring enough hot water for bathing in winter for soldiers to be self-sufficient in 100% of their vegetable needs, nearly 95% of their meat needs; the rate of healthy soldiers reached 98.7%.
On this occasion, authorized by the President, the leaders of Military Region 4 Command awarded the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal to the Military Region Logistics Department./.
