Department of Performing Arts investigates model Phuong Mai's chest-revealing dress

On the evening of April 23, model – MC Phuong Mai wore a see-through evening gown to attend an event welcoming foreign stars and businessmen in Da Nang. The dress used lace material, with beaded designs, revealing her bust quite clearly.

In response to the controversy over Phuong Mai's outfit, Mr. Nguyen Dang Chuong - Director of the Department of Performing Arts said that he had requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang to set up a council to consider punishing model Phuong Mai for her offensive dress.
It is known that Phuong Mai's act of wearing a see-through dress is considered to violate Section 1a, Article 3 of Circular 01/2016. The circular clearly states: "Acts that performers of art, fashion shows; people who win titles at beauty contests, models are not allowed to do include: Taking photos, recording personal images without costumes or using offensive costumes, makeup and unintentionally or intentionally disseminating and circulating on telecommunications networks".
When called out by the authorities, Phuong Mai explained that she chose the outfit based on the event criteria, which was a party honoring sexy girls. The outfit also had a nude lining inside.
The MC's media representative explained that because the photo was taken under flash, the see-through outfit was quite revealing, but when attending the event, Phuong Mai received many compliments from guests.
