The Great Blue Jade gemstone is offered as a tribute and placed in Ho Chi Minh Square.

(Baonghean.vn) -To commemorate the 123rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2013), Phu Quy Stone and Mineral Joint Stock Company (Quy Hop) donated a block of Great Blue Jade, a type of precious stone with the scientific name Nazodac-Corundum, mined in Co village, Chau Thanh commune, Quy Hop district.

The magnificent blue jade gemstone is located near Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh City).

This massive stone, weighing nearly 40 tons and standing 3.6 meters tall, is located at the intersection of Ho Chi Minh Square. Known as "Dai Lam Ngoc," this precious stone has accumulated deep within the earth over millions of years and possesses exceptional hardness and durability. It is resistant to erosion by water and acids, does not oxidize, contains no radioactive elements, and comes in various colors, including purplish-red (Nazodac) and blue (Condundon). It is translucent and refractive, and contains many valuable minerals.

In feng shui, "Great Blue Jade" can be considered a "miracle gemstone," bringing good energy and luck to people. Previously, in October 2012, Nghe An province also donated three blocks of Great Blue Jade weighing over 50 tons, mined and processed by Phu Quy Stone and Mineral Joint Stock Company (Quy Hop), to decorate the area around the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi.

Currently, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee have received the precious stone block and assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ho Chi Minh Square Management Board to proceed with the laying of the stone. The inauguration ceremony is expected to take place on the afternoon of May 19th.
