'Space War' Between Russia and the US
Moscow regrets the US reaction to Russia's testing of an anti-satellite system, especially since Washington itself creates risks in space, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
"Fight in space"
She noted that Russia had successfully tested and destroyed the decommissioned Tselina-D spacecraft, which was carried out in compliance with the country's international obligations, in particular the 1967 Outer Space Treaty. Zakharova added that Russia's actions "were not aimed at anyone, and given the duration of the test and the parameters of the orbit, the resulting debris did not pose any threat to anyone."

“We watch with regret what is happening in the United States and remind our American partners that it is Washington – not now, but since the 1950s – that has been pursuing a clear course on the use of outer space for military activities,” Zakharova said.
"These accusations are clearly made to protect the ability to put pressure on our country, we will reject them. We are not strangers to this," she added.
Liquidation of equipment "Tselina-D"
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russia had successfully conducted a test on November 15 and destroyed the decommissioned Russian spacecraft Tselina-D. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that there was no threat.
Roscosmos said space debris flew past the ISS several times on Monday, an hour and a half apart. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said at the time that the cloud of 1,500 pieces of debris was the result of Russia testing an anti-satellite system.
