Historic meeting between Kim Jong-un and senior South Korean officials

A delegation of senior South Korean officials arrived at Sunan International Airport in Pyongyang, North Korea, on the afternoon of March 5. The delegation consists of 10 members, including five senior officials: head of the National Security Agency of South Korea Chung Eui-yong, Director of the National Intelligence Service (NIS) Suh Hoon, Vice Unification Minister Chun Hae-sung, Deputy Director of the NIS Kim Sang-gyun and senior official of the South Korean Presidential Office Yun Kun-young. Leader Kim Jong-un personally welcomed senior South Korean officials in the capital Pyongyang. North Korean media said Kim Jong-un and senior South Korean officials discussed a range of issues, including the possibility of holding an inter-Korean summit, and that both sides reached a “satisfactory agreement”.
