Inter-Korean summit reveals role of Kim Jong-un's sister
(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Kim Yong-chol - Vice Chairman of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea in charge of inter-Korean affairs and Ms. Kim Yo-jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, joined the North Korean leader in the morning session of the April 27 inter-Korean summit.
The presence of the two figures shows their important roles in future inter-Korean relations, denuclearization and efforts towards ensuring a peaceful system.

Ms. Kim Yo-jong - First Vice Director of the Propaganda and Agitation Department of the Workers' Party of Korea sat next to her brother and members of the North Korean leadership at recent events in Pyongyang related to denuclearization and establishing peace on the Korean Peninsula.
These activities included accompanying the North Korean leader's first visit to China and joining the North Korean delegation to the opening ceremony of the 2018 Pyeong Chang Winter Olympics in South Korea.
Some analysts say Pyongyang has shown that Kim Yo-jong plays the role of chief secretary to the North Korean leader by seating her opposite South Korean presidential chief of staff Im Jong-seok.
Ms. Kim was once assigned a seat as a counterpart to South Korean National Intelligence Service Director Suh Hoon.
