(Baonghean) -On the evening of June 20, Nghe An Guest House - the place where the 88th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and the Nghe An Press Awards 2012 took place - became the gathering center of journalists in Uncle Ho's homeland; For reporters and journalists after a year of sticking to the base, tirelessly following the topics that life and people awaited, the reunion was a reward, an extremely meaningful encouragement that the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee gave them - Everyone was respectful and happy to meet each other, visiting each other with a firm handshake, chatting and exchanging journalism experiences and sharing their favorite works.
Reluctantly leaving the meetings outside the hall, the reporters and journalists from Nghe An who returned to the ceremony quickly found their seats and participated in the program to celebrate the 88th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and award the Nghe An Press Awards. The program of the ceremony opened with special songs and performances selected from the 3rd Singing Festival of Journalists that had just been successfully organized. The lyrics and voices of the "non-professional singers" performed but still sounded both majestic and strangely passionate. They were singing with all their souls, praising President Ho Chi Minh - the great revolutionary soldier, great journalist, the founder of Vietnam's revolutionary press, the Communist Party of Vietnam - the vanguard army steering the revolutionary boat to success; about a beloved Fatherland, a Fatherland in Truong Sa, Hoang Sa that has never calmed down; about the determination of journalists from Uncle Ho's hometown who are working day and night to protect the Fatherland, protect the Party, protect the people, and make positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the province.
Provincial leaders awarded certificates of merit to the second prize winners.
The welcoming speech at the celebration by comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee is an acknowledgement, assessment and honor of the press and journalists, and also encourages and motivates journalists and press agencies.
The celebration and award ceremony spent a lot of time honoring journalists who have contributed to the development of the provincial press; authors and press works that have made positive contributions to promoting the image and position of Nghe An in the period of integration and development as well as meeting the increasing information needs of the people. Reporter Pham Bang (Nghe An Newspaper) has only been in the profession for 2 years, but both years he has won the provincial press award. Reporter Pham Bang shared his feelings: “Writing for a newspaper is difficult, writing for a newspaper to win awards is even more difficult. However, when I write, I do not intend to write for an award, but write with all my love for the profession, dedication to work and life experience... The award is an encouragement for me to increase my spirit of striving, to practice and cultivate my own ethics, improve my professional qualifications and especially practice my political mettle to somehow always be steadfast in the face of temptations and changes in life to focus my intelligence to better serve the country and the public.”
At the ceremony, many journalists and reporters shared their stories about life and work. Journalist Le Thi Hien Chuong (Nghe An Radio and Television Station), third prize winner of Nghe An journalism in 2012 with the radio work "The story of a Mong person following Uncle Ho" always considered herself a daughter of the villagers, so she was not afraid of the rain, sun, or difficult mountain passes. Hien Chuong confided: "As a woman, working as a journalist also faces many difficulties, but I think for a journalist, there is no greater joy than having your articles have a positive impact on society and receive feedback from the people"...
Reporter Hoang Tung (Labor & Society Newspaper, resident in Nghe An) said: In the flow and strong development of information, various types of journalism are increasingly having a voice and a great impact on society. Journalists in our province have demonstrated their responsibility to the country and society through their own pens. Faced with pressing issues in life, journalists in Nghe An, with their intelligence, enthusiasm and concern for the profession, have worked hard to investigate, find out the truth, and give convincing assessments and solutions; helping audiences, listeners, and readers have a comprehensive view of the picture of modern society... They have been working with the concerns of the whole society.
Journalist Le Van Thang (Military Zone 4 Newspaper) shared his feelings: This year's Press Awards had many works that closely followed political life and real life. The works submitted this year reflected a variety of topics such as Party building, "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh", typical new factors of good people and good deeds, issues of agriculture, rural areas and farmers... the negative aspects of life. All were reflected objectively and truthfully, from the perspective of journalists. Through this, the orientation and critical nature of the press were effectively promoted.
Today's reunion has left useful lessons for every journalist - I and many other journalists understand that: Journalists are like secretaries of life, must stick to the reality of people's lives; always uphold honesty, a pure heart and responsibility for the profession. The ceremony to celebrate the traditional day of journalism and award the Nghe An journalism award has left deep impressions, so that in the upcoming journey, each journalist will continue to be like a diligent, hard-working bee; for the sake of journalism - a difficult, arduous, dangerous but also very glorious profession because it has contributed to building a better life.
