President Putin's major press conference sets a new record.
Approximately 1,390 journalists have registered to attend Russian President Vladimir Putin's major press conference on December 17th.

According to TASS, citing a Kremlin statement, the number of press representatives has set a new record. For example, more than 500 journalists registered for Putin's first press conference in 2001. In 2002 and 2003, the number was over 700. In 2004, it was 750. In 2007, it was 1132. In 2008, it was 1364. In 2013, it was 1327, and in 2014, it was 1259.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin press office has yet to announce the location of the head of state's press conference to reporters. "Information about the location and the order of the event will be communicated to journalists via email," the Kremlin stated.
