Johnny Tri Nguyen rarely shares the reason for leaving the film studio to enjoy a free everyday life; pursuing his passion for martial arts, motorbikes, and confiding about the "enough" that he realizes in his current life.
Talking with MC Ngoc Lan - Quoc Thuan in Lien Phong martial arts school at "Knock on the door to visit home", the male actor impressed with his closeness and simplicity. Johnny Tri Nguyen said that Lien Phong Duong is not only a place to train new talents for the martial arts world but also a training place for film crews.
“I have been passionate about martial arts since I was young. My first day practicing martial arts was in a thatched house. When I started to have the idea of sharing martial arts with everyone, I wanted to have a space similar to my childhood,” Johnny Tri Nguyen expressed.

In recent years, Johnny Tri Nguyen has not been "playing around" on set, the actor has chosen to live in seclusion at a martial arts school with his girlfriend. Approaching his fifties, Johnny Tri Nguyen pursues freedom and independence rather than fame.
“Back then, when filming, Tri played this character, that character, each image had an appearance that we called a different Johnny Tri Nguyen, but in fact, that was the appearance of those characters, but Johnny Tri Nguyen had no defined appearance, he didn't play any character so he could do whatever he wanted to comfortably,” the actor spoke up about the appearance controversy.
Despite being a handsome actor with a large number of female fans, Johnny Tri Nguyen has had a bumpy love life, having gone through many relationships with famous women. He once had a romantic relationship with his beautiful wife Vu Lynn Cathy, but the marriage only lasted 12 years and then the two officially went their separate ways after having 2 children.
On the show “Knock on the Door”, the actor also revealed the reason for the breakup of his first marriage and his current relationship with his two daughters. Although he doesn’t see his children often, the actor still follows and cares for them.

Sharing about his current life, Johnny Tri Nguyen said he feels happy doing what he likes with his girlfriend, actress Nhung Kate. The two have lived together for many years but have not thought about getting married and having children.
Sharing the same taste and interests in movies, martial arts and motorbikes, the two always accompany and help each other in both life and work. The actor also confided the reason for not getting married because he wants his love story to be as interesting as a long-running movie.
