After 10 years of being crowned, Yasuy is now content with his life on the fields, growing rice and raising chickens in his hometown of Lam Dong. After visiting Yasuy, actor Huy Khanh revealed the truth about the life of the 2012 Vietnam Idol Champion: He is living with his family in a spacious house built in 2019. According to Huy Khanh, he had introduced the show to the 2012 Vietnam Idol Champion many times but Ya Suy always refused. Ya Suy even did not dare to answer the phone and did not dare to sing because of fear.

In a previous interview, Ya Suy shared that becoming famous overnight turned his life upside down. During stressful times with a lot of work, the male singer would think back to the peaceful days in his hometown, but still forced himself to adapt to the hustle and bustle of life in the city. The controversies that erupted after Ya Suy's victory at Vietnam Idol in 2012 also had a big impact on the young man. For a whole year after leaving the competition, he remained completely silent and focused only on studying.

In 2014, the scandal of having a child with a fan nearly destroyed Ya Suy's image as a simple, honest guy. Regarding this incident, Ya Suy once said that he always wanted to adopt the child but did not want to get married because he had become a public figure. After that big scandal, he returned to his hometown and "disappeared" from showbiz.

Maybe I've been attached to it since I was little, so I see it as my origin and noble tradition. Being able to live and work according to what I want and what I like is the greatest joy and happiness for me. Because the most authentic life for me is freedom, working hard but sleeping peacefully and not worrying about competing with anyone tomorrow, not being scolded by anyone, except my parents."the champion confided.
