The fishing profession has an unstable income, and the main workforce is still men. Their work, regardless of rain or shine, starts from 6 pm the previous day until 6 am the next day, they drift on the Cua Tien River all night to spread nets to catch fish. When they return in the morning, the wives will sort the fish they catch and bring them to the market to sell. Photo: Le Thang |

The income is not much, just enough to get by, so life is very difficult. The most valuable assets in each hut are just a TV and a gas stove. However, for them, this is definitely their home, where all activities from eating, sleeping... take place. Photo: Le Thang |

Every day, the households in the village pool money to buy clean water to store for cooking. Water for bathing and cleaning comes from wells in nearby houses. However, with a makeshift life, it is impossible to invest in large water tanks, so daily life is difficult. Photo: Le Thang |

Fortunately, everyone in this village is poor and lives far from home, so they live close together and consider each other as brothers. Photo: Le Thang |
