According to the General Education Program issued with Circular No. 32/2018/TT-BGDDT dated December 26, 2018 of the Ministry of Education and Training, Foreign Languages and Information Technology become compulsory subjects for students in grades 3, 4, and 5. With the current scale of primary schools, investing in facilities, equipment, and arranging enough teachers to teach Foreign Languages and Information Technology at all schools is impossible, especially at remote schools. Faced with that reality, Luu Kien Primary School, Tuong Duong district organized to gather students into main schools to implement semi-boarding. Talking with Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung - Principal of Luu Kien Primary School, it is known that the school is facing many difficulties because the facilities are not guaranteed, not only lacking classrooms, but also lacking a canteen and accommodation for students. "Before entering the new school year, the school mobilized parents to contribute paintings, bamboo, meters and working days to build a temporary boarding house for students. Currently, there are 128 students staying in the boarding house, but the boarding house only has 10 rooms, so it is very cramped. The school hopes that the competent authorities will soon recognize the boarding school so that the school has the resources to invest in building facilities and purchasing equipment to meet the needs for better teaching and learning" - Mr. Hung expressed.
