In order to contribute to creating a positive image in the hearts of tourists visiting Da Nang to watch the 2015 Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC 2015) held on the evenings of April 28th and 29th, the leaders of Da Nang city directed relevant departments, agencies, and units to effectively carry out tasks to ensure that DIFC 2015 takes place in absolute safety, ensuring good security, order, and traffic safety...

The city police deployed sufficient forces at checkpoints, grandstand areas, and other key locations to prevent robberies, thefts, pickpocketing, and other potential threats.

The Department of Transportation, in coordination with the city's police force and traffic police, organized traffic flow and route planning, and informed the public in advance to ensure traffic safety and order throughout the competition.

The city has requested the leaders of Hai Chau and Son Tra districts to coordinate with the city police to inspect and regulate the distance between designated parking areas and move them further away from Tran Hung Dao and Bach Dang streets in order to minimize the emergence of unauthorized parking spots and ensure smooth traffic flow on these two roads.

The Border Guard Force is in charge of ensuring safety in the Han River water area. In particular, the Department of Construction is responsible for assigning skilled professionals to supervise contractors and conduct rigorous inspections, ensuring adherence to proper procedures and techniques during the construction of the viewing stands to guarantee absolute safety for fireworks spectators.

Environmental sanitation must be implemented quickly, requiring street cleaning to be completed by 5:00 AM the day after the fireworks display. Functional units must strictly manage and control prices, resolutely preventing price gouging and inflated prices for hotel rooms, food, and tour tickets to watch the fireworks, which could negatively impact Da Nang's image. Simultaneously, residents in Hai Chau and Son Tra districts should register for designated parking areas and be monitored to prevent price increases.

At parking areas, phone numbers will be posted so that people can promptly report any price gouging. If price gouging is detected, the People's Committees of the districts will penalize the parking lot owners and the supervising officials in that area. In addition, the organizing committee must focus on disseminating warnings about disaster response plans, ensuring medical services, fire safety, electrical lighting safety, and food safety and hygiene.

The city has raised over 44 billion VND, the highest amount in any DIFC fundraising campaign since 2008, including 29.1 billion VND in cash and 15.3 billion VND in in-kind donations. DIFC 2015 was also promoted more extensively and strongly than ever before, with three international media channels including Star World, BBC World, and National Geographic in the Asian region; promotion on digital travel newsletters, e-newsletters, tourism portals, information counters at Da Nang airport, and on social media.

Le Nguyen Company sponsored visual promotion of DIFC 2015 in 13 provinces and cities nationwide through billboards, light boxes, and other advertising materials.

It is expected that by April 25th, Da Nang will have completed the installation of the 32,000-seat grandstand; from April 22nd to 26th, the city will conduct inspections, acceptance testing, and determine the safety coefficient of the structure. 34 programs, events, and supporting activities, along with many new tourism products and tours, are expected to make DIFC 2015 even more unique and attractive, meeting the entertainment needs of city residents and tourists during this extended holiday at the end of April.

The tourism industry hopes that the number of visitors from both ends of the country and internationally to Da Nang during this period will far exceed the 395,000 figure of DIFC 2013.

According to information from the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in addition to familiar activities such as releasing lanterns, flower boat parades, cyclo parades, beautiful photo exhibitions, street music..., tourists can participate in activities at the Community Cultural Space organized on Tran Hung Dao Street (at the beginning of the Dragon Bridge), recreating traditional rural market cuisine, folk games, musical instrument performances, and art performances...

The unique cultural and culinary features of the countries whose teams will be performing fireworks displays – South Africa, the United States, Vietnam, Australia, and Poland – will also be recreated in the park area near the City Administrative Center. As part of the supporting activities for DIFC 2015, this year's Da Nang beach tourism season will officially open on April 25th with the theme "Da Nang Beach – A Safe, Civilized, and Attractive Destination".

According to information from the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang's tourist beaches, with its beachfront location, many activities centered around tourists will be organized. In addition to major entertainment activities held at popular tourist spots and main streets, satellite locations along tourist itineraries such as 29-3 Park, Ba Na Hills, Non Nuoc, Da Nang Museum, and cultural centers in various districts will also offer supplementary activities. These activities will not only cater to entertainment needs but also serve the public during the 40th anniversary of the liberation of Southern Vietnam and national reunification.

According to the Travel Management Department of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, on this occasion, several river tourism products will be launched, hoping to enrich the range of services offered and make it easier for locals and tourists to choose destinations and activities throughout the holiday.

In 10 days, the 2015 International Fireworks Competition will take place in Da Nang on the evenings of April 28th and 29th. Preparations are underway with the highest priority being ensuring absolute safety to enhance and promote the image and brand of Da Nang to international friends and domestic tourists alike.
