AAG submarine cable problem will be fixed by the end of March
It is expected that on March 27, the incident on the AAG international submarine cable that occurred in mid-February 2017 will be completely resolved.

According to information from the management unit of the Asia America Gateway (AAG) international submarine cable, it is expected that by 4:00 p.m. on March 27, 2017, all international information via this cable will be restored. Previously, on February 18, 2017, the AAG cable had a breakage problem.

It is also known that as planned, the cable repair ship will arrive at the broken location at around 4:00 p.m. on March 23, the first weld will be completed at around 6:00 a.m. on March 25, and the last weld will be completed at 4:00 p.m. on March 27, 2017.
The incident that occurred on February 18 was the second time in 2017 that the AAG cable line encountered this situation. As a result, the internet connection speed from Vietnam to the world was significantly affected, and at peak times it was very difficult to access global services such as Facebook, Gmail, etc.
The AAG international submarine cable has a total length of 20,000 km, directly connecting Southeast Asia with the United States. Since 2014, this cable has encountered 11 problems, causing intermittent internet access from Vietnam to other countries.
