Gold price dropped sharply at the weekend
Domestic SJC gold price decreased by 170,000 VND to 35.59 million VND/tael, world gold price decreased by 24 USD to 1,190 USD/oz.

Specifically, according to the listing of Saigon Jewelry Company, the buying and selling price of gold is at 35.47 - 35.59 million VND/tael. DOJI Group listed the gold price at 35.52 million VND/tael (buy). The selling price is at 35.57 million VND/tael.
The difference between buying and selling gold prices in Hanoi is 50,000 VND/tael; in Ho Chi Minh City, the difference is 120,000 VND/tael.
On the world market, at the end of the trading session on October 3, the price of gold officially lost the 1,200 USD/oz mark after the US Department of Labor announced positive employment figures in September.
Accordingly, the spot gold price on Kitco fell to $1,190/oz, down more than $24/oz compared to the previous trading session. The price of gold for December delivery on the Comex floor also fell $22/oz to $1,192/oz.
The U.S. Department of Labor said businesses added 248,000 jobs in September, much higher than the forecast of 215,000 jobs. At the same time, the unemployment rate in September fell to 5.9%.
Market analysts said that optimistic signals about the US economy have reduced the attractiveness of gold. In addition, the USD index continued to increase yesterday, causing gold prices to fall sharply.
