Domestic gold price "still" at the weekend

Opening the weekend session (August 20), domestic gold prices remained stable, while world gold prices continued to climb.

Specifically,at 8:15On the morning of August 20, the buying and selling price of SJC gold bars in Ho Chi Minh City was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company at VND36.48 - 36.73 million/tael. This price has not changed compared to the previous closing price, and the difference between the buying and selling price of gold is still at VND250,000/tael.

At the same time, DOJI Group quoted SJC gold price in Hanoi at 36.60 - 36.67 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Compared to yesterday's closing price, the buy price remained the same while the sell price decreased by 10,000 VND/tael. The difference between the buy price and the sell price is 70,000 VND/tael.

Gold prices in the world today continued to increase again while the USD index decreased compared to other key currencies.

World gold listed at 5:00 a.m. this morning (Vietnam time) increased slightly by 0.2% to 1,341.02 USD/ounce, equivalent to 35.95 million VND/tael.

In the Asian market, gold prices are currently hovering around $1,334/ounce. Gold prices on the Shanghai floor are $1,348.34/ounce.

Gold futures for December 2016 delivery on the Comex floor increased 0.6% to $1,357.2/ounce.
