The CIA has just released a diary of terrorist leader Bin Laden, apparently written by his daughters. The book reveals how the Al Qaeda leader viewed the world around him.

The notebook also shows Bin Laden was deeply interested in the 2011 Arab Spring revolutions, which occurred before US special forces raided and killed the terrorist leader.

Terrorist Bin Laden

Bin Laden discussed Libya's role as a conduit for terrorists to Europe, his time as a young man visiting William Shakespeare's home in England, and the turmoil that quickly engulfed the Middle East.

The 228-page diary contains discussions and thoughts bin Laden shared with his family about how to exploit the uprisings, what caused rapid change in the Arab world and when Al Qaeda should speak out.

The diary also appears to show Bin Laden's conversations with his daughters Miriam and Somiya, his wife, and his sons Khaled and Hamza, who is believed to be Bin Laden's successor.

The title of the diary is "Special Notes for Abu Abdullah: The Views of Sheikh Abdullah - a Family Meeting". Abdullah is Bin Laden's traditional Arabic name.

The conversations took place from February to April 2011, with dates recorded in the diary shown in the Islamic calendar format.

Recently, the CIA made public about 470,000 documents seized from Bin Laden's hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

CIA Director Mike Pompeo said the release of the documents gave Americans insight into the plans and operations of the terrorist organization Al Qaeda, SBS reported.
