Robbed 260 million VND from gold shop owner who invited girlfriend to go to the beach

After robbing 260 million VND, the two subjects took a taxi and invited Loi's girlfriend to go to Sam Son beach. Two days later, they were arrested by the police.

The Criminal Police Department - Hanoi City Police has just coordinated with Hoang Mai District Police to urgently arrest 2 subjects related to the robbery of a gold shop owner in the area.

The subjects include Le Van Loi (born in 1993, permanent resident of Van Giang Town, Hung Yen); Do Van Son (permanent resident of Long Hung Commune, Van Giang District, Hung Yen Province). Both subjects earn their living as freelancers.

According to initial confession, Loi used to work at a HQ gold and silver trading store (on Bui Thi Xuan Street, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi). Knowing that the store had loopholes in foreign currency transactions, Loi asked Son to rob the property. After agreeing, Son borrowed a friend's Dream motorbike and the two of them did it together.

At around 2:48 p.m. on June 8, 2017, Loi bought a SIM card and installed it in his Nokia 105 phone. Then, the two of them went to the HQ gold and silver store to investigate the situation. After getting the phone number of the store, they went to the Bac Linh Dam urban area (Hoang Mai) and called the HQ gold and silver store. A woman named H. (the store manager, residing in Hoang Mai district) answered the phone.

Loi asked to sell for about 10,200 Euros and Ms. H. agreed to buy. After the "transaction", Loi asked the store to send someone to bring the money to the location at Villa 2, Bac Linh Dam urban area (Hanoi). After the negotiation process, the gold and silver store sent an employee, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet, to bring about 260 million VND to carry out the transaction.

At nearly 4:00 p.m. the same day, employee Quyet arrived in front of the house in BT2 area, Bac Linh Dam (Dai Kim ward, Hanoi) when two subjects driving a Dream motorbike (with the license plate covered) came from behind and approached Mr. Quyet's car.

At this time, Loi used a pig-slaughtering knife to threaten Mr. Quyet's neck, Son opened the victim's car trunk and took away about 260 million VND. After committing the crime, the two subjects dispersed the evidence, which was the phone SIM card and the knife, then fled to a motel in Dong Tao (Khoai Chau, Hung Yen).

After successfully carrying out the robbery, the two subjects took a taxi and invited Loi's girlfriend to go to Sam Son beach (Thanh Hoa). A day later, the subjects continued to rent a car to go to Tuan Chau (Ha Long, Quang Ninh).

On June 10, 2017, Son and Loi were checked by the police and brought to headquarters to clarify the case./.
