"Pirates of the Caribbean 5" starts filming, plot revealed
The new “Pirates of the Caribbean” film continues to focus on Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow, as he battles an army of ghost pirates.
The fifth installment of the blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean franchise has officially started filming in Queensland, Australia. The film was directed by Kon-Tiki's directorial duo, Espen Sandberg & Joachim Rønning. The film's official title is Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

On this occasion, Disney also revealed the plot of the new film. Accordingly, Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) will have to face an army of ghost pirates led by Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem). Salazar, who has a grudge against Jack Sparrow from the past, has just escaped from captivity in the Devil's Triangle, and now wants to destroy all pirates who do not obey him. To defeat Salazar, Jack Sparrow must find the legendary trident of the Sea God Poseidon. Legend has it that whoever possesses this artifact will become the master of the ocean.
Alongside Johnny Depp and Javier Bardem in the lead roles, Dead Man Tell No Tales stars Kaya Scodelario (The Maze Runner), Brenton Thwaites (The Giver), and Golshifteh Farahani (The Patience Stone). Geoffrey Rush, Kevin R. McNally, and Stephen Graham reprise their roles as Captains Barbossa, Gibbs, and Scrum. This is the first Pirates of the Caribbean film not written by Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio. The screenplay for Dead Man Tell No Tales was written by Jeff Nathanson.

According to plan, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be released from July 7, 2017. However, because the film was made quite early, many fans speculate that Captain Jack Sparrow will return soon next year.
