On September 28, Long An Provincial Police said that the Investigation Police Agency of Thu Thua District Police is completing the file to propose prosecuting Nguyen Hoang Thanh (31 years old, residing in Long Dinh Commune, Can Duoc District) for robbery.

According to the police, in early 2016, Thanh and Ms. V. (25 years old, residing in Vinh Hung district, Long An) had a relationship and rented a room to live together as husband and wife. During their time together, Thanh bought Ms. V. a mobile phone.

At the end of 2017, the two ended their relationship, and Ms. V. moved out and rented a room to live on her own. Thanh later met Ms. V. many times to ask for the phone back, but Ms. V. refused to return it.

In early 2018, Thanh went to the company where Vy worked in Thu Thua district to reclaim the phone he had given her, and the two had a conflict. During the argument, Thanh grabbed Vy's two gold earrings, used his teeth to cut off his ex-girlfriend's earlobes, and then left.

The case was investigated by the Criminal Police Department of Thu Thua District Police. Afterwards, the police initiated a criminal case and prosecuted Thanh for robbery.

However, Thanh fled his residence and was recently arrested./.
