Former Leeds player becomes fitness coach for Vietnam national team
In the coaching staff of the Vietnam national team just introduced by coach Phan Thanh Hung, there is a foreign face. That is Mr. Dylan Keer, a former player of Leeds United, who will take on the role of fitness coach.

On the morning of August 24, Coach Phan Thanh Hung signed a contract until the end of 2013 to officially assume the position of Head Coach of the Vietnam National Team and the U23 National Team. In addition to familiar faces such as Van Sy, Van Phung, and Hoang Anh Tuan, Coach Phan Thanh Hung's assistants also include a foreign coach.
Coach Phan Thanh Hung will lead the Vietnam national team and U23 national team to participate in 3 major tournaments during the contract term: AFF Suzuki Cup 2012, Asian Cup qualifiers and SEA Games 27. During the contract signing ceremony, Coach Phan Thanh Hung also introduced his assistants.
These are still familiar faces who have worked alongside coach Phan Thanh Hung in the national team such as coaches Van Sy, Hoang Anh Tuan, Van Phung. However, in the near future, coach Phan Thanh Hung will have an additional English assistant.
That is the fitness coach Dylan Kerr - a former player of Leeds Utd Club (England). Coach Dylan Kerr came to Vietnam since December last year and worked at Khataco Khanh Hoa as a fitness coach. Thanks to the intensive fitness exercises of this coach, K.KH players are evaluated by experts as having the most abundant and best physical resources in the V-League.
Coach Phan Thanh Hung's decision to invite coach Dylan Kerr as his assistant is to help the players have the best physical preparation for the upcoming major tournaments. The head coach of the Vietnam national team said: "I need each of my assistants to have their own outstanding strengths to create the best coaching staff as a professional foundation for the team."
