Former SLNA player faces an uncertain future

At the end of the 2018 season, the player from Dien Chau had to leave Vinh Stadium to find a new destination, after not being retained by SLNA. Receiving an invitation from Hai Phong, the defender born in 1993 immediately brought his luggage to Lach Tray Stadium for a trial. Despite his great efforts in training sessions, Nguyen Van Manh still had to say goodbye to the port city right before the V.League 2019. A somewhat surprising decision by Hai Phong's Board of Directors.

It was thought that the 26-year-old player would have to "sit around and do nothing" in the first leg of this year's season, but the "savior" XSKT Can Tho appeared and welcomed him with open arms. Like "a drowning man clutching at a pole", Nguyen Van Manh immediately flew to Can Tho to work with the Board of Directors and Coaching Board of the Tay Do team. In the last season playing for XSKT Can Tho, Nguyen Van Manh was the number 1 choice for the left-back position of coach Nguyen Thanh Danh and then coach Vu Quang Bao. The success of the team from the Western Capital region in staying in the league was largely due to the player wearing the number 66 shirt.
