Former Pentagon Adviser: Foreign Soldiers Are Fleeing from Ukraine Armed Forces
(Baonghean.vn) - Former US Defense Secretary advisor assessed that foreign mercenaries are fleeing en masse from the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to Colonel Douglas McGregor - former adviser to the US Secretary of Defense under President Donald Trump, the Ukrainian military was frustrated and disappointed by poor management, and the fact that they were "asked to sacrifice themselves for obscure purposes".
“I think the result is that we will see more and more surrenders and desertions. Sooner or later, the Ukrainian armed forces will split and collapse,” said Colonel McGregor.
The former adviser to the head of the Pentagon stressed that any armed forces, when not achieving any tangible results, over time lose morale, and question the need for combat operations.
“I think the Ukrainian Armed Forces are approaching this point. Even the foreign soldiers who fought enthusiastically to help Ukraine have largely deserted. They packed up and left, perhaps only the Poles remain,” McGregor said.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced on August 11 that it had attacked a temporary deployment point of foreign mercenaries in the city of Zaporizhye. Ukraine has increased the recruitment of mercenaries to hide the heavy losses of the Armed Forces during the counter-offensive.
Kiev is trying to recruit fighters in the United States and Canada, with the help of the CIA, as well as in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
At the end of June, the Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against 160 mercenaries from 33 countries fighting in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Ukrainian military has been carrying out unsuccessful offensive attempts since June 4. According to the agency, over the past two months, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost more than 43,000 servicemen and about 5,000 units of various weapons, including 26 aircraft and 25 Leopard tanks.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that the Ukrainian army was not successful on any front.
