Successful rescue of fishing boat with engine failure at sea

Previously, at 6:00 p.m. on July 26, while fishing at coordinates 18.3 N (north latitude), 106.5 E (east longitude), 66 nautical miles from the mainland, fishing boat NA 93362 STS of Mr. Bui Viet Trinh from Quynh Long, Quynh Luu had a broken shaft. Meanwhile, the food on board was almost gone.
Immediately afterwards, the captain of this fishing boat informed the Coastal Information Station and the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center for assistance. After receiving the information, the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center dispatched the SAR 274 ship to the rescue.
At 1:00 p.m. on July 30, the rescue force of Region 1 of the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center towed the ship and 17 crew members safely to shore.
At the handover ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Vu - General Director of the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center presented gifts from the Maritime Administration and the Ministry of Transport, and encouraged people to overcome the incident and soon stabilize their fishing activities at sea.
