Successfully rescued fishing boat and 7 fishermen safely ashore
(Baonghean.vn) - At 4:00 p.m. on September 25, rescue ship BP 06.19.01 of Squadron 2, Nghe An Provincial Border Guard towed the distressed fishing boat and 7 fishermen to Cua Hoi port safely.
Fishing boat engine broken at sea, 7 Nghe An fishermen request urgent rescue
(Baonghean.vn) - While fishing at sea, a fishing boat of fishermen from Hoang Mai town (Nghe An) had an engine failure, and 7 crew members were in distress and needed urgent rescue.
Previously, at 4:00 a.m. on September 21, fishing boat NA 99978TS owned by Mr. Ma Van Tai (born in 1976), residing in Quynh Phuong ward, Hoang Mai town, was fishing at a location about 80 nautical miles northeast of Mui Rong (Nghe An) when the engine broke down, water leaked, and there was a risk of sinking, and crew member Nguyen Van Lap, born in 1966, suffered from severe abdominal pain.

On board were 7 fishermen (all from Hai Chinh commune, Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh province) led by captain Nguyen Van Thinh (born in 1988). Although the crew tried every possible way to fix the problem, they could not, so they requested an urgent rescue.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Nghe An Border Guard Command mobilized officers, soldiers, medical staff, medicine and ships of Squadron 2 to set out for the rescue at 8:00 p.m. on September 24.

At 3:00 a.m. on September 25, the rescue ship of the Nghe An Border Guard force approached the distressed ship, performed rescue work, examined the health of the crew members, and urgently towed the distressed fishing boat to shore.

After reaching shore, the commander of Squadron 2 and the unit's officers and soldiers visited and encouraged the fishermen to quickly repair the problem and continue to go out to sea.
