Former 'Queen' of Athletics Vu Thi Huong reveals about her foreign fiancé

The former 'golden girl' of Vietnamese athletics said her future husband is ten years older than her, respects and pampers her very much.

- Hello Vu Thi Huong. Once considered the "speed queen" in the short track at the regional arena, what are you doing now after retiring?

- I just opened the sports media company Vu ​​Thi Huong (VTH Sport Media), still doing sports-related work.

- You shared a picture of your engagement ring on your personal page, so when will you have your wedding?

- I have not decided on the specific time for the wedding because in my opinion, being together and loving each other is the important thing, so the wedding will wait until the right time.

- What can you reveal about your future husband?

- He is a foreigner, ten years older than Huong. He is a good man and very compatible with Huong's personality, especially in his ability to tolerate her "childish" nature. That's all I can reveal.

- How long have you and he known each other? How did you two meet?

- My future husband and I have known each other for a long time, met and fell in love as if fate had arranged it.

- It is known that you have had many love affairs. What is it about your future husband that makes you decide to spend the rest of your life with him?

- The reason why I decided to stick with my future husband is probably fate. I believe in fate because in this world, not everyone is born to be compatible with each other and it is impossible to know what is compatible or not. Besides, to me, respecting and loving each other is the most important thing to be able to stick together. With him, I have that, it is as simple as that.

He never told me to change anything and I was allowed to be myself instead of trying to change to fit in. He loved my flaws too. For example, my hot temper and my mood swings.

- Work is busy, but what did you do and what did you like most in 2015?

- In 2015, my most favorite thing was to open a new direction for my career. That is to open a company to create images for athletes and organize events related to sports.

- Tet Binh Than is approaching, do you have any special plans to welcome the new year?

- This year, I will not return to my hometown but will celebrate Tet in Saigon and plan to go to some places near Saigon to learn more about Tet of the Southern people. In 2016, I will try to continue to develop the company and hope to do something for Vietnamese athletes.
