Former US official comments on Ukraine's 'sabotage' in Crimea
(Baonghean.vn)- Ukraine voluntarily handed over Crimea and the Black Sea Fleet to Russia in 2014. This is the opinion of former US Congressional advisor Ariel Cohen published in an article for Newsweek Magazine.
The author of the article said that corruption and ignorance prevented Kiev from "ending its dependence on Moscow". Mr. Cohen assessed: "Kiev needs to get rid of the destructive habits that happened during the war with Russia in 2014, whenUkrainian Armysurrender Crimea and its Black Sea Fleet to Russia".

The analyst expressed the view that Russia is currently "increasing pressure" on Ukraine through "concentrating troops" on the country's border. In addition, according to Mr. Cohen, Moscow is accused of taking advantage of Kiev's energy dependence.
Western media and politicians have recently been trying to assert that Moscow is allegedly massing troops on the border with Ukraine. As Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said, Russia is moving its armed forces within its own territory and at its own discretion - this does not threaten anyone and does not bother anyone.
Moscow stressed that rhetoric about "Russian aggression" is being used as a pretext to increase NATO forces in border areas.
