Rescued fishermen drifting for 2 hours in Nghe An waters

(Baonghean.vn) - While standing on the side of the ship, Mr. Thau unfortunately fell into the sea but no one knew. Luckily, he was discovered and rescued by a ship of the North Central Maritime Safety Company.

On the morning of September 8, ship V022 of the North Central Maritime Safety Company rescued a fisherman drifting at sea and brought him safely to shore.

The fisherman who drifted at sea was Nguyen Van Thau (born in 1992, residing in Nam Thai A commune, An Bien district, Kien Giang province). Thau said: at about 7am on September 8, 2017, he was standing on the side of the ship when he fell into the sea, and no one on the ship knew.

While drifting at sea in a state of exhaustion, at 9:00 a.m. the same day, ship V022 of the North Central Maritime Safety Company on its way from Vung Ang - Ha Tinh to Cua Lo discovered Mr. Thau drifting at sea.

Mr. Thau was rescued and brought to shore at Cua Hoi station, handed over to Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port Border Guard Station. Mr. Thau received medical care from the Border Guard Station's doctors and is now recovering to normal health.

Currently, the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port has informed the locality and the crew member's family to receive Mr. Thau.
