Former SLNA goalkeeper becomes deputy coach of Quang Nam

During his playing days (1999 - 2002), Vo Van Hanh played for SLNA and won many prestigious titles, such as the National Football Championship in 2000, the V.League Championship in 2001 and the National Cup in 2002. Notably, Vo Van Hanh was also the first goalkeeper to win the Vietnam Golden Ball award (in 2001).

During his football career, the former goalkeeper from Phu Yen was one of the most successful goalkeepers in Vietnamese football. Not only at SLNA, Vo Van Hanh also won the title ofV.League championin the HAGL shirt (2003, 2004) and SHB Da Nang (2009). At the National Team level, the goalkeeper born in 1974 also participated in the Tiger Cup in 2000 and 2002 but only played once.

After leaving the football field, Vo Van Hanh took coaching courses. At the 2016 AFF Cup, Vo Van Hanh was the goalkeeper coach of the Vietnam National Team, under coach Nguyen Huu Thang. Recently, Vo Van Hanh worked at the PVF Youth Football Training Center,U19 Vietnamand Ho Chi Minh City Club. However, at the beginning of the 2020 season, Vo Van Hanh had his contract terminated by Chairman Nguyen Huu Thang's team and became unemployed.

Witnessing the talent of Vo Van Hanh in the position of assistant coach in charge of goalkeeper training, the Quang Nam Board of Directors decided to appoint the 46-year-old coach to the team's coaching staff. Thus, at Tam Ky Stadium, Vo Van Hanh will be working side by side with his former teammate at SLNA, former striker Nguyen Thanh Cong, who is currently the "captain" of the Quang Nam team./.
