Former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was arrested upon returning to his country from London, the British capital.
Former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was convicted of corruption and sentenced to prison last week while he was abroad.

Last week, a court sentenced Mr Sharif to 10 years in prison and a $10 million fine for corruption related to the purchase of property in the UK.
The tax evasion charges and other charges against Mr Sharif emerged in the Panama Papers scandal. Mr Sharif is expected to appeal. His arrest is also seen as a blow to the party he leads.
