Former SLNA striker officially renews contract with Ho Chi Minh City Club
(Baonghean.vn) - Yesterday afternoon (November 12), the player born in 1992 and the current V.League runner-up have completed a 2-year contract. This information was confirmed by Vu Quang Nam and Ho Chi Minh City Club.
Thus, Vu Quang Nam will continue to wear the Thong Nhat Stadium shirt until the end of the 2021 season. This is a worthy reward for Vu Quang Nam's tireless efforts over the past time, especially in this year's season.
At V.League 2019, Vu Quang Nam was one of the most impressive players in the Ho Chi Minh City FC squad. The player wearing the number 18 shirt played 919 minutes on the field, contributing 2 goals and 1 assist for the reigning V.League runner-up.

The name Vu Quang Nam is no longer unfamiliar to experts and football fans in the country. The striker from Quynh Luu (Nghe An) won the double title: Top scorer and Best player of the tournament at the 2012 National U21 Finals, the tournament in which U21 SLNA won the championship.
Unfortunately, persistent and serious injuries prevented Vu Quang Nam from shining in the SLNA shirt. At the end of 2013, Vu Quang Nam had his contract terminated by the Nghe An team and it seemed like he would have to say goodbye to his football career forever.
However, thanks to his strong will, the 27-year-old player overcame his illness to return to the field in the Phu Yen First Division team (2016 season), then Hue Football Club (2017 season). At the end of the first half of the 2017 season, Vu Quang Nam was on the payroll of Ho Chi Minh City Club.

Vu Quang Nam is the second face to be extended by the team named after Uncle Ho after the 2019 season ends. Previously, coach Chung Hae-seong also agreed to stay with the Thong Nhat Stadium team for another 2 years. It can be seen that Ho Chi Minh City Club is very serious in preparing for the next season.
It is expected that in the 2020 season, Ho Chi Minh City Club will compete on 3 fronts: V.League, National Cup and AFC Cup (replacing Hanoi Club, due to not meeting the licensing standards of the Asian Football Confederation). Coach Chung Hae-seong and his team can even participate in the Southeast Asian Club Championship (ACC), held next year./.
