Former midfielder of Song Lam Nghe An 'advance to the South'

At the end of the 2023 season, the 3-year contract between Vuong Quoc Trung and Phu Dong officially expired. Not in the plan of coach Nguyen Van Dan, the player born in 1990 had to pack his luggage and leave Ninh Binh stadium to find a new destination.

During his time at Phu Dong, Vuong Quoc Trung was often in the starting lineup with his familiar position as a central midfielder. It would not be an exaggeration to say that Vuong Quoc Trung is one of the most stable players of Phu Dong in the past 3 seasons.

With the level of a player who was called up to the Vietnam National Team (in 2015), the 33-year-old midfielder was quickly recruited by Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc. According to Vuong Quoc Trung, the contract between him and the Southeast team is valid until the end of this season.

Thus, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc has become the 5th football team that Vuong Quoc Trung has played for afterLam River Nghe An(2013, 2014 and 2020), Hai Phong (2015 - 2019), Thanh Hoa (2019) and Phu Dong (2021 - 2023). And this is also the first time Vuong Quoc Trung has joined a football team in the South.

Before competing in the top environment, Vuong Quoc Trung was a young player of the Song Lam Nghe An training center, in the same generation as Que Ngoc Manh, Tran Dinh Thang and Le The Cuong. Unfortunately, Vuong Quoc Trung's contribution to his hometown team was extremely modest (17 minutes of play, 0 goals).
