Former Song Lam Nghe An midfielder Tran Dinh Tien joins Hong Linh Ha Tinh
(Baonghean.vn) - After the contract with Song Lam Nghe An expired, Tran Dinh Tien decided to join Hong Linh Ha Tinh to seek career development opportunities. The contract between the two parties is for a period of 2 years from the date of signing.
According to the regulations of the Vietnam Football Federation and Song Lam Nghe An Club, each young player after the training period will have to serve the first team until the age of 25. Thus, at the end of the 2023 season, Tran Dinh Tien officially became a free player.
Before the new season, both Tran Dinh Tien and Song Lam Nghe An could not find a common voice, so the player born in 1998 decided to leave his hometown team to find a new destination. Hong Linh Ha Tinh is the next destination in Dinh Tien's career. According to information from Nghe An Newspaper reporters, the two sides will agree to sign a 2-year contract, with an undisclosed signing fee.
Sharing his feelings when having to say goodbye to his old team, Dinh Tien said: "Song Lam Nghe An is the place that nurtured my passion for playing football and saying goodbye to the team that I have been with for nearly 14 years is something I do not want. However, the life of a player is very short, so I had to say goodbye to my hometown team to find a new environment, with the hope that my career will develop more in the future."
The midfielder born in 1998 also shared the reason why he chose Hong Linh Ha Tinh as the next stop in his football career: "I chose Hong Linh Ha Tinh because this team has many similarities with Song Lam Nghe An. Most of my new teammates here are from Nghe An, so it will be easier to integrate. In particular, head coach Nguyen Thanh Cong is a former member of Song Lam Nghe An Club, which helps me adapt more easily to his coaching philosophy. Coming to the new team, I hope to play in my favorite position as a winger. I will work hard to win a starting position in the Hong Linh Ha Tinh team, thereby helping my career develop further in the future."
Tran Dinh Tien grew up from the Song Lam Nghe An training center. In 2019, the midfielder born in 1998 was promoted to the Song Lam Nghe An first team. However, he was loaned to XSKT Can Tho by the Nghe An team soon after. In the 2019 National First Division, Tran Dinh Tien scored 2 goals and had 3 assists for the Tay Do team, thereby contributing to helping XSKT Can Tho stay in the league.
In 2020, Dinh Tien returned to Song Lam Nghe An. In his first season playing in the V.League, the player from Hoang Mai won the complete trust of the coaching staff, appearing 17 times in all matches for the yellow team.
In 2022, Dinh Tien made a strong impression with 2 goals against Nam Dinh in the first and second leg of V.League 2022. This player's goals were all scored from outside the penalty area and were considered masterpieces.
Entering the 2023 season, Dinh Tien suffered an ankle injury, so when he returned, he could no longer maintain his previous high form.
